This is my personal favorite way of cooking cereal. I recommend Bob's Red Mill extra thick steel cut oats or 10 grain cereal. Both are thick, hearty and satisfying.
This recipe serves 2. I allow 1 cup water plus cereal in proportion per person.
Optional Spices - use any or all
Combine all ingredients and cook cereal according to package directions with 2 cups water. (extra thick oats uses 2:1, 10 grain uses 3:1 water to grain.) Serve with soy milk if desired.
